These colorful mountains are located in the province of Gansu , China. More precisely in Zhangye Danxia. Tourists in their hundreds come here every day to admire the incredible natural scenery formed due to the erosion over time.
But then question arises, how these layers of different colors are formed? Well these are just different layers of sediment in diverse and varied colors that are superimposed for 24 million years to form these beautiful mountains. It is then the erosion due to wind and rain that showed the colors of these layers to our eyes.
