The Pepsi Max had this unique idea to propose a new and unusual augmented reality experience to passengers at a bus stop in New Oxford Street. New Oxford Street is a major and famous road in West London. Check out the reaction of the passengers who have faced the falling meteorites, attacking tigers, UFO or even a giant robot. Awesome!

For this campaign “Live For Now”Pepsi had the unique idea to surprise the passengers waiting in the bus stop shelter in London. The glass of the shelter had been replaced by a screen which shows the video of the road in real time. However, augmented reality experience was added to the real time video of the street. We can call it a bit disruptive or frightening virtual reality experience. The reaction of the surprised passengers was captured using a hidden camera when they experienced the appearance of flying saucers, meteors falling from the sky or even a tiger coming!

We were amused by this viral advertising campaign conceived by the Pepsi brand, we appreciate the creativity behind it! We would have loved to be at the place of these passengers and experience first hand the appearance of flying saucers. What would have been your reaction had you seen a meteorite falling on you?
