Wozniak designed his own microcomputer and placed it forward to Hewlett-Packard who rejected the engineering interns’ work. Apple began to experience a decrease in market revenue, leading to the CEO Gil Amelio to buy NeXT in 1997 in other to bring Jobs back to Apple. This followed as Jobs became the new CEO of Apple, and began to rebuild Apple’s status. In 2007, Jobs renamed the company Apple Inc. after it had returned to profitability, and resigned to Tim Cook in August 2011 due to the health issue.

As of 2017 (Wikipedia, 2018), Apple’s annual revenue worldwide totaled $229 billion, with a workforce of over 123,000.
