It is true that for some reasons, the French local administration always seems compelled to decorate the roundabouts and other communal spaces with monuments of questionable taste. While it may be difficult to always have monuments of exceptional quality yet still, they must be better than these ugly works that destroy the beauty of the landscape.
- Roundabout “Snails” Lorignac (Charente-Maritime)
Conceived by Jean-Luc Plé, this scene was intended to pay tribute to the Charente cagouille. Many tourist would find these snails as repugnant.
