Here is the solution for you as Netherland based company has introduced a system that can switch the lights, turn the oven On/Off and close the curtains with your voice. No need to move your finger or to go to perform such mundane tasks. The life will become much easier with this gadget that is available soon. A home hub will be there to control the devices and perform such tasks for you. The interesting gadget is named as Homey.
The homey is designed by Emile Nijssen from Enschede which is compatible with all the home appliances that can be controlled wirelessly. The homey can use Wi-Fi, BlueTooth or Infrared devices to control these devices. The inventor has started a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for the project. He says, “Homey brings your home to life. It can talk to many devices, and you can talk to Homey, Say what you want, when you want it, and Homey takes care of it. Homey learns your ways and predicts which things to do, to make you happy.”
As the gadget is connectible with the internet, so you can schedule the plan while you are on the way to home. You can heat up the oven; you can turn on the lights or even open the curtains if feeling tired. The company says, “When you need to wake up, the curtains or blinds are opening, your morning tune is playing on your stereo while the weather for today and your e-mails are being read to you. The smell of fresh and automatically made coffee gets you out of bed.” The gadget is so intelligent that it will let you know the level of the thermostat and you can adjust it remotely.
The homey will let the users know if it would rain today so turn the heating system up or can inform you to switch the unnecessary lights off in case of empty house. The homey is plug and play and starts working immediately on installation. The homey can also understand other languages than English. There are seven wireless modules working on multiple frequencies and protocols and interestingly all are controllable by voice. The homey costs you only US$ 340 and is based upon a Raspberry Pi computer. The homey is even capable to connect to the old TVs as well.
