Alcatel One Touch Fire Hands-on

Alcatel will start marketing in July 2013, the first mobile running the Firefox Operating System (OS).  The “One Touch Fire”, the first model of this type will be offered at only 99 €. This is relatively a basic device, with a screen of 3.5 inches, a processor clocked at 1GHz and a 3.2 megapixel camera. It supports 3G data rates (up to 7.2 Mbps in downlink), WiFi and Bluetooth. The default Firefox OS also includes programs and plugins for call management, messaging, e-mails and the camera. Social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter are also integrated into the OS. Hence, some application can be used without downloading. There are some interesting software enhancements, including app search by keyword, allowing discovery without specific apps in mind.
