An Italian inventor has designed an incredible bicycle that can fold onto itself just like an Umbrella. The cycle is not only spoke less but also hubless as rear wheel is driven directly by the pedals. This bicycle has full-sized 26inch wheels and is provided with a backpack.
This bicycle could be the ultimate solution for the big cities where the commuters have to often use the crowded buses and metro systems. On such occasion, you can easily fold the bicycle to the size of an umbrella. Designed by the Italian designer “Gianluca Sada” its design is unique as it comes with full 26inch wheels and in the place chain system it uses a hub. The cycle also does not has any spokes.
The packaging material of the bicycle can be recycled as a backpack. In fact the designer came up with this bicycle as he was disappointed with the current folding bicycles, where in order to reduce the weight, the dimensions were also reduced. This resulted in smaller bicycle designs and lack of stability. Due to their small frame and wheel sizes they are very uncomfortable to ride in the rough terrains. Hence, after designing dozens of new prototypes, he came up with his new design that uses a full sized frames as well as full sized wheels. Still, it can be miniaturized to the size of an Umbrella.
